It's almost Christmas!

Wow this year ended pretty quickly. Granted I was pregnant for most of it and was just able to hibernate, but it did seem to just fly by.

Coryn is 3 days shy of 4 months! She giggles all the time it seems. At least when looking at daddy. Jovyn, of course, is up to mischief all the time. I am willing to bet santa goes crazy on the gifts with these two. They are such good kids, I never could have asked for better. Ok well maybe for Coryn to sleep a little more, but it's fine, I can deal :)

So we are "self publishing" Steve's poems into a book. I spent the past few days taking photos for the cover. Unfortunately my camera is film (stone aged I know, I just love film) and 1 hour photo at wal-mart is dead -_-. The joys of a podunk town, you have 1 store with 1-hour photo, and it's down. I am hoping to have everything together before the new year, so we can start selling it for 2010.

ok wow I slacked on this pretty harcore for about 2 months http://cafepress.com/11300925 check it out! We call it CovynRann, named after my girls. My husband is helping me on the actual setup of it all. I just do the designs and upload them and chose what products they go on. He does all the "real" work. I definately would have given up without his help. He keeps reminding me that I am talented and people will love my work.... well what do you know, you guys do like my work! mostly my nom nom cupcake design, which is what I think Coryn would look like if she was a cupcake. The cute little button eyes and the chunky nom cheeks. Of course she does make the "nom nom nom" noise when she eats. I'm working on a new design for my little Jovyn. I just can't seem to find something that captures her innocence, mischeviousness, and her attitude all in one drawing.

Ok so onto the girls! Coryn is just shy of 4 months old. I can't belive it. She is, of course, the booger butt I knew she would be. She has this gleam in her eyes, when she smiles, that is just so captivating. She is eating pureed foods now, she eats everything that is put in front of her. So unlike her big sister, who will just as soon put up her dukes, rather than eat anything other than "Juuuuuuuuus fren friiiies chiiiiickeeeeeeeen aaaaaand ketchup! Oh and lemonade peas!" Yeah, thats an exact quote.

Ah and we have a new baby who was just recently added to our family. Little Donut O'malley. He is a *I think* miniature pinscher, We were told he was a chihuahua, but he doesn's have those supre freaky bug eyes. Jovyn's Grampa Scott got her Donut since the puppy we got for her a while back, decided she had more fun on the other side of our fence and just *poof* we couldn't find her. Even after letting security forces know, they never found her. So grampa got her Donut. We love him to death! He is so sweet and cuddly!

Ok well I have pretty much given you a wall of text so I am off for now! Don't forget to check out my link, and look on this page for our stores facebook page!

These would be my lovelies on Halloween. Jovyn, the pirate. And Coryn the kitty. :)

Jovyn came home with about 5lbs of candy (I only wish I was exaggerating.) She has enough candy to keep big foot wired for years.

She has already asked to be a "superhero" for Halloween next year.

Halloween and pumpkins and oh my.

My girls have their costumes ready! :D So cute ^_^

Jovyn is DYING to trick or treat this year (that would be a near exact quote btw) She wants to get candy for her and her sister O.o although I'm fairly sure it will just be the bean eating it.

Oh and then there is Hello Kitty..... Where do I start? The hello kitty thingy is basically spears. Never seen them before, I'm sure they have been out for a while. I find them quite nifty. I just get to figure out how to "carve" stars.... I don't plan on cutting them out more than I will just dig it out a little (no clue what it's actually called.)

My Corey boo. What a little ham, just like her sister. Last night after we laid her down, I heard some grunting... of course I though we were gonna have a diaper issue. Nope, she was just rollin' her butt on over.

yum

Today Jeanette and I made the hubby tiramisu. He is just happy that we don't have to wait to go to Buca di Pepo in PA to get some :). Don't worry Shelly, I'm fairly sure Buca's is still better than mine and he will still look forward to our PA trips ^_^

Tomorrow is Steve's day off from work! wewt wewt! Hopefully he doesn't get called in, he could use the day off to get some rest and cuddle time with the girls before his surgery on Monday. I feel like I haven't seen him in weeks, 12 hour shifts suck :(. Monday we will be leaving around 9ish to take him to the hospital to get the prepping done :( his surgery starts at 11. Jeanette (poor thing) has, reluctantly, volunteered to stay home with the girls during his surgery so I can see him as soon as he wake up. I have also learned, recently, my children are a great form of birth control. I really don't think Jeanette will be having kids anytime soon LOL.

p.s. Jovyn is now on a Snow White kick, thank goodness I have finally gotten her out of the tinker bell phase, until the new tinker bell movie comes out anyways.

6 weeks!

Coryn is 6 weeks old as of yesterday!!! I am so thankful that she didn't go through what Jovyn went through at 6 weeks. I have been holding my breath hoping I wouldn't wake up to another blue baby. I don't know if I could, mentally, handle that again.

Today I go to my postpartum check, how lovely.

baby's 1st halloween

Halloween is coming!!!! Jovyn has her pirate costume ready ^_^ and Jovyn picked out a pink cheetah costume for Coryn. :D Jeanette, Steve and I have our costumes together but I think I will wait for pictures before I let everyone know what it is.

I felt fine yesterday, but today it hit me like a truck. I guess I wasn't as well as I thought I was yesterday :(

ugh

Yep, that flu shot definitely helped to get me sick. I have a sinus infection and a fever. Thank goodness Jeanette is here to help with the girls.

Steve has his surgery coming up on the 19th. I know deep down everything is going to turn out fine, but I still get scared :( Next to the girls, he is my world. I only hope this will be the last surgery he needs and that it will fix his shoulder for good. He is in so much pain still, and the injury was almost 2 years ago.

flu shots

Jovyn and I got our flu vaccinations today. I feel like poo and I know Jovyn can't be feeling too much better, she is being a little booger butt. Throwing fits and yelling >< I know she is tired but she refuses to lay down and get some rest.

Jovyn and I have been practicing her spelling. She has Blue and Red down. She can't seem to get the letters g and r. Not that I am complaining or upset, I have a 2 1/2 year old who can read a few words and spell them, that is a fabulous thing.

Of course the potty training is harder than I ever thought it would be. She was doing great for a while, until Coryn showed her diaper covered tush :) Jovyn has decided she wants to stay in diapers just like her baby sister.

I have gone on an organizational/cleaning kick recently ( I think my mother just had a heart attack reading this) I got these gimungous vacuum seal storage bags. Too much fun! Jeanette and I loaded up a queen size overstuffed comforter and a pillow top mattress pad in one of them and it shrunk down to the size of a few towels. Nifty. Now I actually have closet space in my linen closet.

aaaaaah

Sunday was my day of rest, how fitting. It was such a beautiful day outside, perfect for grilling :) Jeanette and Jovyn played soccer in the font yard while Steve and I grilled some Stuffed mushrooms and BBQ Ribs (YUUUUUMMMM!) And of course the best part of our Sunday meal was the fried okra. Oh man it has been so long since I have had okra. I can eat it like popcorn *drool* Of course Jovyn didn't try any of the ribs or okra, such a picky eater she is. So far today has turned out to be a beautiful day as well. I have to say, as much as I hate living in Missouri, the weather sure is fantastic. Well I guess it is time to go watch Monsters vs Aliens with Beanie and Birdie.

oh buddy

I went to do the WIC checks today. Not a fun experience. It took me all of 15 or 20 minutes to go through the store and get everything I needed, but it took the cashiers almost an hour to ring up my stuff, not because I had a ton of stuff, but because apparently nobody was trained on the new WIC items. My favorite part of getting WIC on base was that we could get Juicy Juice, which is not available at stores off base because of the cost and that they use store brand items. Well now I can't get Juicy Juice on base either *cry*

But, I guess, if that is the most of my worries and irritation, life is pretty dang good.

coolest hat ever

Yep... it's true, greatest hat ever.

Coryn! how cute

Oh wow, 3 posts in one day.... 2 from me granted, but I think I am addicted. >.>

anywho I figured I would share this ----->

My little eagle!

So I guess my husband finally figured out how to post!! yay now I am not the only one updating this site. wewt wewt. I'm proud of him lol.

Ah my little lovely. She bleeds green! She has been dying to wear this outfit ever since it started to get cold out. She loves her eagles clothes ^_^ that's my girl. Jovyn is definitely after her daddy/poppy/uncle matthew's heart obviously. And if I don't say so myself, I made one gorgeous little girl who looks amazing in green <3
Sooo 0330 Coryn decided that now was not only a good time to be awake, but that she and I should be fully awake. Which leaves me up with no option but to make a warm bottle and lots of rocking and my bad singing to attempt to make her go back to sleep. Fun.

Missouri wic finally caught up with the rest of the world! They now offer bread and fresh veggies. It's about dang time.

So today being pay-day, I had to go grocery shopping.... not fun with a toddler and an infant, especially when it is said toddlers nap time. She cried all the way through the store "I'm noooot tiiiiireeeed" which is a very good hint that she is, in fact, tired. I also have to say, I have spent a good chunk of my life as a military dependent, and the best perk I have is the commissary. I will always be amazed at the fact that I can go in and get about 2 weeks to a months worth of food without going over $200.00. Try doing that at wal-mart/giant/publix (pick one because it just doesn't compare!)

ah and it is a lovely cloudy day ^_^ what a day for napping. If only I can get Coryn to nap with me.

Guilty pleasures

http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/

oh the sweet sweet agony of shopping at wal-mart and seeing these people has finally come together in one easily navigated website. Schwing!

On my trek out to wal-mart this morning I saw a peopleofwalmart candidate. Too bad I'm not quicker with my phone camera. Maybe one day I will have the joy of seeing myself on peopleofwalmart.com

My goals have reached an all time high!

Coryn

What a lovely little girl I have. So peacefully playing. I wonder how long that is going to last.

a toddlers hatred of big bird and the number 6.

Today I woke up feeling like a steaming pile, only to later find out my 2 year old has a tummy bug too :( poor baby. She is still quite the goof though, it's amazing to me how she can feel so sick, yet still smile and run a muck.

On a good note! She pee'd in the potty today (of course it was after much pleading and bribery) She sang me Twinkle Twinkle while she pee'd.... how odd. Maybe she meant tinkle tinkle. Jovyn sat on the phone and chatted with her grammy for quite a while this evening. She could talk a deaf mans ear off if given the chance. My mom (her grammy) quizzed her on the colors of the sesame street characters, and she got all but big bird. I have come to the conclusion that big bird just doesn't hold a candle to Elmo and Cookie Monster. She has also gotten over her hatred of the number 6, and now includes it when she counts to 10.

hmm.... I wonder if big bird and the number 6 are in on some evil plot to destroy the world, and only my toddler is aware of the plan. Or maybe, just maybe, she couldn't get big bird and the number 6 in on her plan for world domination.... Yep, the latter seems a bit more plausible.

About us!

The love of my life is Stephen!
Yep, that's him. From just about day one we knew we would be together. 3 1/2 years of marriage. I couldn't ask for a better man. We have our ups and downs, but without them I don't think we would have the appreciation for each other that we do now.

I have 2 amazing little girls. Jovyn Ann, who is 2 1/2, my best friend, and quite the spitfire. And Coryn Rose, my miracle, who was born on August 27th!
